There are 3 main styles of pool: (i) Skimmer, (ii) Overflow, (iii) Infinity (also called Vanishing Edge).
In Skimmer style, the water level is kept 12-15 cm below the pool surface. This is the most common style of swimming pool.
In Overflow style, the water on the pool surface overflows from the pool and goes to filteration system through perimeter overflow channel usually covered by gratings. Skimmers are not required for this style.
For this style, the pool is elevated and the water of the pool overflows creating a striking illusion of water going into infinity. Skimmers are not required for this style. Infinity style is also known as Vanishing Edge.
